Michael Boufarhat
Chairman & CEO

Michael has 34 years experience in design and construction management of building services projects covering air conditioning, electrical, fire protection, hydraulics and industrial installations.

Previously, Michael was the CEO of Hastie Middle East from 2005 till 2007, he established and led Hastie’s operation in the UAE to become in a short time a major player within the UAE industry.

Prior to that, Michael was the Managing Director for Waterman Int’l. Asia, a major International Consulting Group. Michael’s role was managing Australia, and establishing the Middle East and Asia.

Allen Williams

As the head of James L. Williams, Allen puts his heart and soul into making the business the best it can be. With over 40 years of experience on the Board of Directors, he has successfully diversified the business and is now working globally with an office in the Middle East and a manufacturing partner in China. Allen inspires environmentally insightful engineering and encourages the industry to achieve ground-breaking results. He strives to provide the best opportunities for the company and is excited by the future prospects for the company and what the vibrant youthful generation will bring.

Ramy Boufarhat
Chief Operating Officer

Ramy is an Engineer with experience in the building services industry as an engineering consultant and a contractor. Ramys career kicked off working in Australia for the largest electrical contractor in the region (Heyday Electric) which provided him with valuable onsite experience as well as a good introduction to a large scale construction management. Ramy then went to work with one of Australia’s largest Engineering Consultancy Aurecon (formally Connell Wagner) as an engineering designer and construction manager on an array of high calibre projects. Ramy now works with James L Williams in their Middle Operation.

Ramys role in James L Williams is a diverse one that covers all the phases throughout a project life; stemming from pre-award discussion and final negotiations to the design, construction, project delivery and commercial feasibility.

Shadi Abou Fakher
Director of Projects

Shadi has 18 years experience in design and construction of building services covering air conditioning, electrical, fire protection, hydraulics and industrial installations in UAE.

Prior to joining JLW in 2011, Shadi worked as an operations Manager with Omega engineering, a major engineering and contracting company, operating in UAE.

Bryan Heffernan
Technical Director – Mechanical

Bryan started his career in 2000 working for Ireland’s largest building services engineering consultant Varmings. Since then he has worked for a number of international consultancies such as Jacobs Engineering and Waterman International. In his early career Bryan was exposed to a wide range of experience in various building services industries such as hospitality, pharmaceutical, industrial, research and healthcare.

Bryan moved to the UAE in 2008 and has been with JLW since 2011. He joined JLW as Senior Mechanical Engineer and has grown with the business to become the Technical Director in charge of the mechanical engineering. Together with leading the mechanical engineering department, he also plays an important role in providing technical support for our estimation, procurement, and commissioning departments.

Bryan’s particular strengths within JLW is his knowledge and experience in EPC/D&B projects from the initial tender stage, through to the design, procurement, construction and commissioning stage of the project.

Ranui Phillips
Technical Director- Electrical

Ranui is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the electrical engineering department and is tasked with ensuring that his team meets and exceeds client’s requirements for cost effective, high quality, technically sound engineering solutions.

He has experience in many sectors of engineering including residential, commercial, retail, hotels, health and education. In addition to his sector experience he also has experience within many countries including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Australia and the UK.

Ranui's strengths lie within his communication & interpersonal skills which allow him to interpret client requirements thereby providing technically sound, cost effective designs of the highest quality.

Aneesa Naseer Bitar
Estimation Manager

Aneesa Naseer Bitar is an Electro Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in managing the complete operation of MEP Estimation and Procurement.

She has over 20 years of work experience in various MEP contracting Company’s throughout UAE.

Prior to joining JLW Aneesa has worked as Director of Estimation with Commodore Contracting Company, a major engineering and contracting company, operating in UAE.
